My philosophy
I am passionate about guiding people towards vibrant health because I believe that everyone deserves to live a full, meaningful life without health issues standing in the way. I believe that in order to achieve true health, we must nurture and support all aspects of ourselves - body, mind, and soul. With each of my patients, I strive to understand their story, how everything is connected, and aspects of their being that are in need of support. I dig deep to find the root cause of illness because I know that it is from this place where true healing occurs.
I trust and believe whole-heartedly in the healing power of nature - whether it be a walk in the forest, targeted medicinal herbs, or living more aligned with natural rhythms and cycles. I believe that the foundations of health - breath, movement, nutrition, sleep, support, connectivity, and purpose - can not be understated and I work with each patient to strengthen these aspects. When the foundations aren’t enough, I look towards modern, evidenced based therapies to bring the body back towards balance.
With each of my patients, my goal is to ensure that they feel heard and empowered! I love educating people about their body and their health. I hope that after leaving my office you have a better understanding and newfound appreciation of it. My hope is to help patients become more connected and in tune with their body and the subtle signals it gives. I strongly believe that only you know your body best, which is why I love to work collaboratively with my patients to create a treatment plan that fits their body and their life.
I am a life-long learner and am in constant fascination with the human body. My passion for health and medicine comes from this place - a deep awe and curiosity to better understand the complexities of health, illness, and life itself.
On a personal note….
In my personal life, I love to practice what I preach! I am an outdoor enthusiast, avid hiker, and love to stay active any way I can. I enjoy running, yoga, volleyball, snowboarding, travelling, and spending time with friends. To nourish my creative side, I enjoy playing piano, journalling, and writing poems. I’m a foodie at heart - I love trying new restaurants and experimenting in my own kitchen! Some of my other favourite things in life include sunsets, warm cups of tea, dogs, chocolate, and Epsom salt baths. When I’m not in the office or researching, you can find me in the mountains soaking up the fresh alpine air.
